The Problems of Being Dead

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I am doing Les Miserables at our local theatre. This past weekend was opening weekend! And we sold out both shows! Yay! That never happens here in our little town. Usually the last weekends sell out, but typically not the first. Even for Sound of Music.

Since my character [spoiler alert] dies in the first 20 minutes of this 2+ hour show, I have a lot of free time on my hands. The young version of my character’s daughter, as well as her character’s young friend also find themselves with a lot of free time. They are on stage in some of the crowd scenes that I am not in, but for the most part, I have two little shadows as I hag around all dead and stuff.

I decided to film short little bursts of some of the things I (we) do to occupy my time. Not that it’s very entertaining, but you will get a small glimpse into the backstage life.

I will start blogging these daily during the rest of the show, but for now, here is the first handful that I recorded beginning with our first full run-through of the show.
